Privacy notice

This notice covers the contact form on balmerborner.com. It is written to the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors in the EU, the GDPR.

Who is responsible

Fortified GmbH operates balmerborner.com and is responsible for the information you send through the form.

What we collect

Only what you type into the form: your name, email address, company if you give one, the topic you choose and your message. We also record which website you wrote from, when you gave consent and which version of this notice you saw. We do not store your IP address, browser details or any tracking identifier. The site sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties. Cloudflare, which delivers the site, may set a strictly necessary security cookie.

Why

To read your message and reply to you. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box. We do not use your details for marketing or pass them to anyone else.

Where it is stored

Messages are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database restricted to the EU jurisdiction. Cloudflare processes the data on our behalf. The EU is not Switzerland, and we do not claim Swiss data residency for this form.

How long

We keep a message while we deal with your enquiry and delete it at the latest 12 months after we last heard from you.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or withdraw your consent at any time. Send the request through the contact form with the topic "Privacy request", from the email address you used before. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address before acting on it.
